How Bear Wisdom Applies to Your Life

How Bear Wisdom Applies to Your Life

Indigenous teachings tell us that the bear represents duality. They go into the den and hibernate for months, but are very active the rest of the year. The time in the den represents entering the dark, or shadow aspect of our selves. This teaches us to explore and learn about the hidden aspect of ourselves, the parts we would rather not show to the world. Yet, it is by exploring these aspects that we learn the most about ourselves. By understanding our challenges, we become empowered to work with this part of ourselves and use it as fuel to move forward in our lives.

Spending Time in Nature is Good for Your Health

Everyone wants to live a healthier, happier life. To achieve this, it is important to spend time in nature.

The power of immersion in the natural world is amazing. We now know that a wide variety of mental and physical disorders are improved by spending time outside. The term for this practise is referred to as Ecotherapy. Depression, anxiety, cancer,  heart disease, asthma and ADHD are a few of a long list of conditions that have shown positive outcomes after Ecotherapy immersion.
